Cookie & Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 September 2026
1. Who I am
This website (the "Site") is operated by Justin Andree, trading as Blitz ("I", "me", "my"), a music supervisor based in the United Kingdom. I am the data controller for the purposes of UK GDPR.
2. What information I collect
Information you give me directly: if you email me (via the link on this Site) or message me through a linked social profile, I'll see your email address/username, whatever you write, and any details you choose to share.
Information collected automatically: like most websites, this Site — hosted on Squarespace — automatically logs standard technical data when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and approximate location derived from your IP. This is used for site security, performance, and basic traffic statistics — see "Cookies" below for detail.
I don't use contact forms, don't run a mailing list, and don't process payments through this Site, so I don't collect anything beyond the above.
3. Why I use it and my legal basis
Responding to enquires — legitimate interests (communicating with prospective clients/collaborators).
I don't use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Who I share it with
I don't sell or rent your information. It may be visible to:
Squarespace, Inc., my website host and (for email) my email provider, who process data on my behalf to keep the Site and my inbox running.
Nobody else, unless required by law.
5. International transfers
Squarespace is based in the United States. Where your data is transferred there, Squarespace's own safeguards (standard contractual clauses / equivalent mechanisms) apply — see Squarespace's privacy policy.
6. How long I keep it
I keep correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to deal with your enquiry and for a short period after in case of follow-up, then delete it. Automatically collected technical/analytics data is retained per Squarespace's standard analytics retention period.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask me to: access the data I hold on you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or receive it in a portable format. Email me to exercise any of these. You can also complain to the ICO if you think I've mishandled your data.
8. Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website, used to make the Site work and to understand how it's used. This Site runs on Squarespace, which sets:
Strictly necessary cookies — session security, fraud/CSRF prevention, load balancing. These keep the Site functioning and don't require consent.
Analytics/performance cookies — Squarespace's built-in Site Analytics, used to see aggregate traffic patterns (pages viewed, referrers). These are first-party and used only to understand and improve the Site.
I don't currently run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any third-party marketing/tracking cookies. If that changes, I'll update this section and add proper consent controls for those specifically.
You can manage your preferences any time via the cookie banner on this Site, or block/delete cookies through your browser settings.
9. Children
This Site is a professional portfolio and isn't directed at children. I don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy as the Site changes. The date at the top shows the last revision.
